Impressions from Bergisch Gladbach

Despite having lived in a part of the city for six weeks now, yesterday I took my first time to see Gladbach in depth. I had a few free hours, so after my German class I took the bus to the Markt stop. The city doesn't attract any tourism and isn't significant for historical reasons, but it has a nice shopping district and a few cool parks in the downtown area. Two of the pictures I added is the morning sky from the top of the parking garage of the biggest and only mall: The Rheinberg Galerie.

The reason I felt such a necessity to see Gladbach is because I've been to Cologne so much already, I didn't want to skipping a step in learning the area. I can catch a bus, change to a train, and be at Cologne train station in 30-40 mins, so as long as I have a reason to go it isn't much trouble to head to my city on the Rhine (apparently that's how you spell it in English). The charm hasn't worn off yet, so I'll continue to go back and explore more of what it has to offer in the next few months.

Today, I took the afternoon to go on a walk through the closest thing to a country road we've got. The bench on the side of the road towards the end of my loop looked so welcoming in the sun that I took a half hour to enjoy the unexpected October warmth.
