First Days in Bergisch Gladbach

2 days later and I have discovered a new meaning of tired. My mind works 10 times harder to understand when I'm being spoken to. General conversation is no problem, but I have no chance in classes, especially when technical terms are thrown out. I envy all these native speakers who sit in the school they've gone to all their life, but on the other hand this challenge is something none of them will ever comprehend. I am often reminded of the term "Antifragile" and how everyday I spend here I become more and more like the person everyone says they want to be in the future. The biggest hurdle for me is communicating, which leads to a lot of frustration, yet I heed the advice of Shad in reminding myself to change the definition of success. I expect to fail some classes for a while because I have no chance at passing when I understand nothing. Ab hier nur Deutsch

Alles von Heute sind nicht echt. Heute am Morgen war ich ins Bett nach mein Hedersleben, und jetzt sitze ich in das Raum von Max in das Haus von die Steinrueck Familie. Um 5:45 bin ich aufgestanden und bis 6 habe ich mich fur den Tag vorbereitet. Dann: nach Mageburg fuhren wir mit einem Bus, nach Hannover fuhren wir mit einem Zug, und letzte fuhren wir wieder mit einem Zug nach Koeln. Draussen die Tuer war die Steinrueck Familie zu mir abholen. Wir sind nach Hause gefahren und um 4 haben wir Kucken und Tee gehabt. Nach ein Spaziergang zur Schule, zum Kirche, und zur EDEKA, habe ich meine Eltern angeruft fur 20 Minuten. Jetzt spreche und schreibe ich mit keine Englisch und nur Deutsch. Ich habe viel Angst aber ich bin sehr aufgeregt fur meinen Ersten Tag in Deutsche Schule Morgen.
