The First Week in Hedersleben

Today marks one week since I left home, but to me it feels like it's been much much longer. I fall asleep every night exhausted by either the overwhelming amount of information I'm trying to adjust to the time difference still. The answer is likely both options. Just to give you an idea I've been waking up every morning at  times ranging from 6:10-6:45 am to go for walks or exercise before breakfast which is at 8 am. German Class starts at 9 am with lessons over grammar and vocabulary. We take two 10 minute breaks in this class until it ends at 12 pm when we have lunch. The official homework hour is from 1:00-2:00 pm; however, I have been finishing my homework early everyday so I have the rest of lunch and the homework hour off. To compound this newfound downtime, we have our midday free time from 2:00-3:00 pm. When this early afternoon break is over we return to class for 3 more hours to learn about culture, geography, or important events in the news. After leaving the last class of the day at 6:00 pm we walk down the corridor to the dining corridor for Abendessen (dinner). Our day begins to wrap up when we watch the daily German news at 7:00 pm and hear the days announcements at 7:20 pm. This is our last planned event for the day and we are given free time as long as we are in the building by 10:00 pm and in our rooms by 10:30 pm; although, I am usually asleep sooner than that.
