Meeting Congressman Ratcliffe

CBYX tasked me with scheduling a meeting with my local representative to discuss why good diplomacy skills are important for youth dignitaries, like myself. On May 31st, I met with Congressman John Ratcliffe of the United States House of Representatives in his Rockwall office. I introduced him to the program and explained what our mission is: to foster good relations between America and Germany on a personal level. He seemed very impressed that to see that the youth of America continue to be "hardworking, entrepreneurial, and adventurous" regardless of the generation they come from. He also gave me tips on how to represent the American people by remembering to always be emotionally reserved and a good listener when having discussions with people whose opinions differ from my own. After that meeting, I am now prepared to live abroad and show the German people a good example of American culture and diplomacy.
